This Little World: A Solo Performance by Owen Corey of Shakespeare's Richard II
Directed by Matthew Windham
Puppet Direction by Essie Windham
This Little World is a critically acclaimed solo adaptation of Shakespeare's timely history play, Richard II. A product of the social and civic turmoil of 2020, the play grapples with themes of isolation, civil dislocation and political upheaval, mining the poetry, humor and pathos of Shakespeare's text to investigate anew a complex classic tale that is deeply relevant to the state of the modern world.
Previously performed at Spots op West (Belgium), Cheb Monodrama Festival (Czechia), Living Record Digital Arts Festival (UK), ProAct Fest (Ukraine), Lagos Theatre Festival (Nigeria), the Anywhere Festival (Australia), Philly Theatre Week, Free Fringe Philly, Pittsburgh Fringe (Winner of Best Solo Show), and in partnership with Atlantic City Theatre (US).
